Sumo Mice & Power Rice: Tales and Games from Japan

Parents’ Choice Award-winning storyteller Motoko enchants children of every age with folktales from her native country, leavened with music, mime, and humor. At the end of the program, every child will receive Motoko’s original paper sumo game!

Origami Tales

Originally developed for Fitchburg Art Museum in Fitchburg, MA, this 45-60 minute program includes delightful folktales, hands-on origami activities appropriate for all ages, and an unforgettable towel monkey! Perfect for museums and libraries with an origami exhibit.

We were thrilled by your beautiful storytelling, and how you were able to connect with the varied ages of our audiences. You conveyed so much about Japanese culture and language within the program. One mother told me her child
was singing in Japanese after the program!
